Working Here
We take care of our people because we believe they are the key to our success. We recognise the need to attract and retain great talent, continually supporting them in their professional and personal development.
Our divisions
From our freshwater facilities and sea farms right through to final dispatch and marketing, we need people with diverse backgrounds and skills to work in our six divisions.

With a dedicated fish welfare team, and an aquaculture support office in Picton, this division also includes sea farms in the Marlborough Sounds and three freshwater facilities throughout the South Island.

The way we work
Our commitment to team members begins with developing an engaged team and a positive culture. We have a peer recognition programme that celebrates team members who demonstrate our company standards and positive safety behaviours. Winners of these monthly awards receive an extra days annual leave, whilst those who nominate receive a gift.

We invest in our people
We provide ongoing training and career development, in addition to a range of benefits including medical insurance and staff discounts.

Supporting our talent to grow
In order to support the next generation of our workforce, we offer various work placements and internships throughout our divisions. We partner with Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) to provide scholarships and work experience for aquaculture and hospitality & culinary students.
It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a local business and we’re delighted that some of these graduates are now part of our team.

Our people
We are a diverse and multicultural team of people here at New Zealand King Salmon. And although we’re serious about what we do, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Want to join the team?
We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our team. We offer a range of benefits including fair pay, training and development, staff discounts and medical insurance.
We are committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace and have a pre-employment, post-incident and reasonable cause drug testing programme in place.
