We’re proud to call the Top of the South our home and we’re committed to our communities wherever we have a presence. Although we’re a global business, it’s important to us that we remain local. So we’ve made a commitment to our community to make it even better.
Our commitment in the community is to:
Contribute to regional economic development
Support youth development to improve life in the community
Build constructive partnerships with iwi and local suppliers
Be a good neighbour and community partner
Participate in flagship local food and wine events
Produce the world’s finest salmon and make our community proud
Looking after locals
We are proud of the role we play in the regional economy of the Top of the South. Salmon farming has an ‘economic multiplier’ effect – it creates work and income for employees, as well as a raft of local suppliers.
It also creates opportunities for the next generation and helps secure a thriving future for aquaculture in the region.
We support variety of of organisations, charities and schools throughout Marlborough, Nelson/Tasman, Golden Bay and Canterbury.
Each year we participate in a number of key events throughout the Marlborough region, including the Marlborough Wine & Food Festival, Havelock Mussel and Seafood Festival , Picton Maritime Festival and Feast Marlborough.
We often bring in guest chefs to cook and sell our delicious King salmon at these events and we perform filleting and pin boning demonstrations. The proceeds from our food stands at these events double as a fundraising initiative for local causes.
