We are honored to be awarded the Exporter of the Year Award – $10 Million + Category – by the American Chamber of Commerce, New Zealand in their 2018 AmCham-DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards.
The AmCham DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards celebrate success and innovation in the export, import and investment sectors between New Zealand and its third-largest trading partner, the USA.
As our General Manager of Sales, Graeme Tregidga stated when receiving this award, “this is a great recognition to our American team, they do an absolutely fantastic job and we are proud of what they do. And it happens because we have a team of 500 people in the South Island, who work tirelessly and are really passionate about what they do. They work with the product from the very beginning, right through to a salmon we can present to the market and deliver into restaurants. We think that is pretty special and we are really proud of this as a team. Thank you to the American Chamber of Commerce, thank you to DHL.”
Over the last year trade of goods with the USA were just under $12 billion, up 4%, representing 10% of New Zealand’s total merchandise trade. Trade in services continue to grow with total trade bilateral worth around $17 billion. The years finalists on show at the awards highlighted some of New Zealand’s most innovative products and services succeeding in the USA.
