The 2016 Trustpower Marlborough District Community Awards took place last night at Marlborough’s ASB Theatre, hosting and recognising some of our very passionate and successful partners, within the Marlborough community.

Among the well-deserving group of those recognised throughout the evening, we were proud to see three partners, in particular, take out awards.

The Kaipupu Point Wildlife Sanctuary in Picton took the Runner Up in the Heritage & Environment category – a partner we continue to work closely with. Graeme Dingle, proved his worth with his win in the Educational & Child Youth Development category, with his invaluable Kiwi Can schools programme throughout Marlborough and specifically at the Picton School which we support. And lastly, the Marlborough Readers & Writers Trust also took out the win in the Arts & Culture category for the Marlborough Book Festival who we have supported from the beginning and who do an incredible job of bringing literary genius to our region.

The night was a resounding success, accompanied with our delicious wine and salmon; we congratulate all entrants, finalists and winners and look forward to seeing and acknowledging many more achievements among our great family of partners again next year.
