MacCure Seafoods was established to add value to seafood products through well-proven methods of preservation including smoking and marinating. Since then MacCure Seafoods has gained both national and international recognition for producing high quality, ready-to-eat seafood products in our specialised premises which is licensed to export to international markets.
MacCure Seafoods is part of The New Zealand King Salmon Company for whom we process and pack a range of products under the Seasmoke brand of traditionally cured seafoods.
In addition to this we are contract processors of a range of products under various brands for our clients.

Adding Value to Seafood
MacCure Seafoods’ core business is increasing the marketability of New Zealand seafood through smoking and other curing methods. In addition to extending shelf-life, we enhance the flavours and ensure the products remain healthy and wholesome with sound food preservation techniques.
Serving Our Clients
The major part of our business is processing and packing a range of ready-to-eat marine products under various brands or in bulk packs for our clients.
Using this service allows our clients to increase their production capacity and range of specialty products with the confidence that their reputation will only be enhanced.
Our larger clients have high volume production lines and they find MacCure’s operation - with small teams of well-trained staff - more suited to producing specialty products.
Quality Assurance
HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
A food safety assurance programme which focuses on prevention to ensure all finished product has been correctly monitored and controlled at all times during processing (e.g. smoking) and packing (e.g. vacuum packing).
New Zealand Food Safety Authority - Licensed Fish Export Packhouse Regulations. Regular audits of our premises and operating procedures are conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) which is a division of The New Zealand Food Safety Authority
