This division includes: Seven salmon sea farm sites, of which six are operational at any one time, scattered through the isolated reaches of New Zealand's South Island Pelorus and Queen Charlotte Sounds. Hatcheries are located in Takaka (Golden Bay), Waiau (Canterbury) and Tentburn (Canterbury). A broodstock research facility and a custom net loft and engineering facility in Picton.
This division includes: Four HACCP approved processing facilities in Nelson involved in primary and value added manufacturing. Products include a variety of salmon cuts shipped as fresh chilled, frozen, smoked, and marinaded. The range of products sold by the company is continually increasing. There is also a separate large capacity ready-to-eat processing facility. The Innovative Foods facility provides a range of select smoked salmon lines and complementary smoked fish products.
Under three respected brands, international sales and marketing is managed from head office in Nelson, while New Zealand retail and food service sales and marketing is managed from the Auckland office. Sales and Marketing are responsible for distribution and the market drive for product innovation.
Based in the company’s head office in Nelson, this division is responsible for financial, treasury, HR and IT functions.
